System hangs up
Hi
Cesar,
thanks for fixing these things. Please send notes on how to use the scout. I'll
give it a try and let you know how it goes.
Will we still need to add different h-offsets for CT and PET?

Hello
Stuart,
Thank
you for your support earlier on.
Let
me summarize:
- We have reproduced the blocking Software issue which would not let
acquire in PET and we have installed the fix for that. This could happen
in any type of PET acquisition.
(Separate clarification: if running a dynamic acquisition (defined as
such on the acquisition template) a window pops up prompting the user to start
acquiring once the bed is in the FOV (designed so the user can get ready for
the syringe injection). It can happen that this window gets hidden behind other
open windows on the desktop so one might think that the software froze. Now,
pressing Alt+Tab shows all open windows and then the user has only to press OK
on the small window popping up)
- We have also installed the Scout View to visually select the
horizontal offset based on a 2D CT image. To get the interface you just
have to click on the + button next to horizontal offset. Tomorrow I will
send you a short note on how to use this feature.
- After installing the patch and the scout view, we have tried all
imaging modalities (specially PET) without problems
Please
do let me know if you want to have another joint remote session with activity
or you prefer to test the system yourself and then let us know your experience.
Best
regards,
Cesar.

Hello
Stuart,
Thanks
for your email.
What
time would you like to start? 09:00 AM Virginia time?
Just
to optimize resources, you can skip ordering activity because tomorrow’s
session will be more to reproduce the issues you have told us about.
For
this we can just acquire background. After this one we can see if another
session is needed and whether it will be good to have activity.
Does
this sound ok?
Best

Cesar.

I
hope WMIC went very well.
When
do you think we could organize the remote session this week?

Hello
Stuart,
Yes,
of course. We can move quicker by maybe involving someone available at UVa this
week (Mahendra or Bijoy for instance).
Otherwise,
we do it next week, no problem.
By
the way, I hope you have a very fruitful WMIC and safe travels!
Best
regards,
Cesar.

Cesar just confirmed that they
have reproduced the software bug you reported and it is being fixed now.
Michael will confirm later today the specifics on the fix and timing.
Please let me know when you are
available to meet at WMIC to discuss workflows etc. and I will set something
up.
Thanks,
Doug

Hi Cesar,
Thanks for getting in
contact. I am busy today and tomorrow, and will fly to Philadelphia tomorrow
afternoon. Maybe we can try it next week sometime.

Dear
Stuart,
How is
everything in Virginia?
Doug has
kindly passed on your feedback on the software issues you have experienced with
the Albira.
What we
propose doing is to arrange a remote session during which you try to reproduce
the issue with us on the line (connected using teamviewer).
We have
identified a bug on the software and we have solved it. Now, to be sure that we
are addressing exactly your point we think that the best is to organize this
remote session and start reproducing the problem before we make any changes on
the software.
Do you
agree? If yes, please let us know when we could carry this out. For us, this
can be as soon as tomorrow in your morning.
Best
regards,
Cesar.

Hi Doug,
we are still having
issues with the software hanging up and locking the computer, necessitating having
to log into the acquisition computer and restart Watchdog. If this turns out to
be a persistent problem, can we get assurance that you will replace the
hardware/software that is necessary to alleviate this?
Also, there are a
number of suggestions we could make that we think would improve the workflow.
Can we work with your software engineers to help improve this? As an example,
the way the H-offsets are set up for PET and CT are really confusing and could
be greatly simplified. (This is not a reason for me to avoid signing off on the
scanner, but it would be good to get assurance upfront that we can collaborate
with you on this.)
Thanks for your patience. Who
from Bruker will be at the meeting next week. I hope to see you there.
Cheers,
Stuart
